Bobby Blankemeyer is a junior at Council Rock High School South. In his spare time, Bobby enjoys singing, acting, and reading! His favorite part of Bike the Basin is cheering on the kids participating in the ride! His favorite song is “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley.
Mackenzie Blatz is in eighth grade at Richboro Middle School and serves as the president of student council. Outside of school and Bike the Basin she enjoys dancing. Mackenzie’s favorite quote is “Don’t you worry your pretty little mind, people throw rocks at things that shine” -Taylor Swift. Mackenzie does not have a favorite song but she loves to listen to different artist and genres from Justin Bieber to Nicki Minaj and country to classic rock.
Nick Ferrante is currently attending Saint Katharine Drexel Regional Catholic School in Holland. He is in 8th grade and is very excited for high school. He will be going to Archbishop Wood. Some of his interests include playing basketball, swimming, running, and music. Nick’s favorite quote is: “Happiness is found when you stop comparing yourself to other people.”
His favorite part of Bike the Basin is the day of the event, when the excitement is in the air, and all of the children are biking around with smiles on their faces. Nick enjoys being a Youth Crew member and working with the Smedley’s to find a cure for Michael and Mitchell’s Retinal Blindness.
Daniel Krauss is in 8th grade at Richboro Middle School. He has been in Boy Scouts for almost 8 years now and he plays the tuba in band! His favorite song is evolution of music. Dan loves Bike the Basin because of how it gets the whole community together. He can’t wait for another great year!
Stephanie Krauss is a junior at Council Rock High School South. She is a lover of theater and plays clarinet in the marching band! Her favorite music group is Pentatonix. Steph loves Bike the Basin because of the amazing people that it impacts! She is so beyond excited for another amazing year full of success!
Samantha Lavelle is a junior at Council Rock South. In her free time, she’s very involved with both the orchestra and the choir. She also loves listening to music, but there’s no way she could pick a favorite song! She loves helping out at Bike the Basin because all the energy at the event makes volunteering more fun than work!
Sophia Mattie an 8th grader at Richboro Middle School. Sophia plays field hockey, tennis and soccer. her favorite part of Bike the Basin is raising money in lots of different ways to support research for CRB1 blindness!
Jason Schwartz is a senior at Council Rock High School South. He is highly involved in the theatre and in choral singing and his favorite song is My Way by Frank Sinatra. Jason is beyond excited for another great Bike the Basin fundraiser and especially enjoys the event because of the power it has to bring attention to an important cause while bringing the community together!
Karissa Smedley is a 6th grader at Maureen M Welch Elementary School. Karissa loves all things sports with her favorites being soccer and basketball! Karissa’s favorite part of Bike the Basin in running down the Bam Stick Row to celebrate Karissa’s Krew’s fundraising that she accomplishes with so many of her teammates.
Michael Smedley is a junior at Council Rock South High School. Michael can usually be found performing at the piano/keyboard either solo or with his band, Casual Friday, or at a sound board enhancing theater productions at Golden Wings Theater Company and other theaters in the Bucks/Philly area. It would be too hard for Michael to choose his favorite song – pretty much all classic rock comes in at number one for him! Michael’s favorite part of Bike the Basin is experiencing all the support of his dream of sight – and rockin’ out with his band on the big stage!
Mitchell Smedley is an 8th grader at Richboro Middle School. Mitchell loves funny You Tube videos, playing chess, and getting out on the golf course. Mitchell is most excited that we are adding mini golf to Bike the Basin this year!
Jessica Smith is a sophomore at Nazareth Academy HS. Some of her interests are running, gymnastics, guitar, piano, ukulele, and art. Her favorite song is “Photograph” by Ed Sheeran. Her favorite part of bike the basin is that everyone joins together to have fun and support a great cause. Her favorite quote is “Be just what you is, not what you is not. Folks that do this are the happiest lot.” ~Mr. Wizard
Sarah Smith is a junior at Nazareth Academy high school. Sarah is very interested in singing, tennis, piano, and most of all, community service. Her favorite song is wild card by Hunter Hayes. What she likes about bike the basin the most is that it brings the community together and makes a difference in the lives of other people. Her favorite quote is “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them” ~Walt Disney
Grant Speiser is heading into his junior year at Council Rock High School South. He enjoys listening to music, watching movies and hanging out with his friends. Grant’s favorite part of Bike the Basin is seeing the huge crowd that turns up to bike for a good cause. Grant loves the song “Cold Water” by Major Lazer.
Kimberly Speiser is 11 years old and is on the BTB Committee. She will be in the 6th grade this year at Churchville Elementary School. She is also on the U13 FC Bucks Fury Soccer team and Renegades AAU Basketball Team. She also plays JV Soccer and JV Basketball for St. Bedes.
